Release Notes

Initial release of User Export for DotNetNuke.

Minimum DotNetNuke version: 5.04.04.

Packages include DNN6 as well as DNN5 manifests. DNN6 UI form patterns were followed in the construction of the user interface. Module.css includes a subset of DNN6 default CSS selectors to provide a similar appearance in both DNN 5 and 6 and to facilitate conversion to a DNN 6 only module in the next version.

Other Notes:
•Asynchronous processing of export file its emailing to selected recipients is not yet implemented. Exports from portals containing a large number of selected user accounts may result in a time-out.
•An export created in the XLS format may when opened from Microsoft Excel give a warning that the files extension (XLS) does not match its content. Click "yes" to open the file anyway.
•Both DNN5 and DNN6 manifests are included to allow for inclusion of a DNN6 branding icon.

Road Map for Development:
•Asynchronous processing to spin both building the export file and its emailing to a separate thread thus avoiding possible time-outs when exporting from portals containing many accounts.
•Host user access to a portal selector to allow export of accounts from portals other than the current or from all portals when exporting to XLS or XML formats.
•Next release will target DotNetNuke 6.01.02 with updated package manifest and forms pattern.
•Implementation of user account import and update from an XML format export.
•Additonal filtering for user account selection to include filtering by standard and custom profile properties.
